The project
Healthly is an AI calorie counter. Snap a photo of a meal and it calculates calories, protein, carbs and fat in seconds, with insights, weekly check-ins, an AI coach and Apple Health sync.
It was my first freelance role. I joined early to help the app get off the ground.
What I did
Engineering patterns. Helped the team put better engineering patterns in place early, so the codebase could keep up as features shipped.
Home screen widgets. Built Healthly's custom iOS home screen widgets with SwiftUI and WidgetKit, putting daily calorie and macro progress a glance away.
Lock screen complications. Built compact lock screen widgets so users can check their progress without opening the app.
